We are currently seeking Kitchen Hands / Cleaners to join Early Learning Centres across the Perth metro area. If you have a strong work ethic, love working in clean environments, and want to support children’s development behind the scenes, we want to hear from you.

THE ROLE

As a Kitchen Hand / Cleaner in an early learning environment, you will play a vital support role by maintaining kitchen hygiene, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring all indoor and outdoor areas are clean, safe, and ready for children and staff.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting the Centre Cook with food preparation, plating, and kitchen clean-up

  • Washing dishes, sanitising benches, and maintaining food safety standards

  • Cleaning classrooms, bathrooms, nappy change areas, and staff rooms

  • Mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces

  • Ensuring all waste is disposed of properly and recycling is sorted

  • Maintaining cleaning supplies and reporting any maintenance issues

  • Following WHS and hygiene protocols specific to childcare settings

ABOUT YOU

You’re practical, efficient, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for young children, families, and staff.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in kitchen and/or cleaning roles (early childhood or similar preferred)

  • Working With Children Check (WA)

  • Basic understanding of hygiene and safety procedures

  • Physically fit and able to complete repetitive tasks

  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude

  • Australian work rights

Desirable:

  • Food Handling Certificate

  • Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates

  • Experience in a childcare, healthcare, or school setting
